I guess I am a little behind on the updates, ( as you can see from the title!) because it is now a couple weeks after Christmas. I guess it's because the holidays have had their relaxing effect on me already. (just kidding, I actually forgot! ;) Two Fridays ago we had our last day of school, on Saturday, Dad was home all day (and the next 3 days!)
We actually got the French doors painted and finished! The handles are on too, but they aren't the kind that you turn. Then we got new carpet, (a pretty, soft burgundy-brown colour) and then the day after Boxing Day, (when all the sales are on!) we got a new couch and loveseat. Our old couch was older than me! So now, the living room looks very nice! (Now I really need to get a camera!!)
On Christmas, we had a service in the morning, and then we were off to my Uncle John and Aunt Wilma's place for Christmas dinner! Uncle Bert and Aunt Janet and family, plus my Oma were there also, so it was quite a houseful! After a great dinner, we all played Scattergories, and snacked. On Boxing Day we relaxed and had our own family dinner. That's because my Oma and Opa from my Mom's side were supposed to come, but then my Oma got sick, so we had to make use of an already thawed-out turkey! Too bad we didn't get any snow!
On New Year's Eve, which was on a Sunday, we had a service at the regular afternoon time, and afterwards had a church coffee social with Olliebollen! Then we went to a friend's place for a dinner, but when we came home, I had to babysit for a family friend. I came home just in time for all of us to see the ball drop in Times Square on TV at 12:00! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
So now I'm all caught up, for a while anyway. Don't you hate it when you have to change from writing 2006 to 2007? I do.
So now we are looking ahead to another new year, the Lord willing. May we all be blessed with health and the abilities to fulfill our earthly tasks in the Lord's service.
C yas soon! rachee
( To commenters: So sorry about the problems you're having with putting comments on my blog!! I'm trying to fix that!)

It Finally Snowed!!
Hey all!!
It finally snowed! I was beginning to wonder if we even would have a 'real' winter at all! It rained and rained for days, until 4 days ago, we got over a foot of the white stuff! It looked so nice, so fresh and clean. Although some people don't like winter because of the cold and yucky driving, (I guess I'm one of them!) I'll always love the snow. I say looked, because...

it melted! :( I hope we get more soon, though!
The new french doors are up! Though it took quite a bit of work to get them up, it looks very cool. Now we just have to finish painting them and put in the handles. I'll post pictures of them sometime.
Not much else going on though, except me, Lydia, and Katelynn are practicing hard for our church Christmas program next Sunday!
Hope to write more next post, (I'm tired from working this afternoon)
C ya later! rachee
I'll leave you with this verse: "If you love Me, you will keep my commandments. And I
will pray the Father, and He will give you another Counsellor, to
be with you for ever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world
cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; you
know Him, for He dwells with you, and will be in you."

Recent happenings:
Hey again! This is my very second post! Sorry, this is all very exciting! ;)
*True Canadian!
He was chasing a cat in the backyard, (silly dog) and when he came inside, the nail on the side of his paw was hanging half off and bleeding! It looks worse than it actually is, though, the vet just put the bandage on so he wouldn't chew it off. Ha!
Well, today, actually all week we were very busy. My organ lessons that are every other Tuesday, were cancelled till Friday because Mom had a root canal! Ouch!! Lydia and I also had a Catechism test. Then on Wednesday, we had piano lessons. On Thursday we had somewhat of a breather, then today, (Friday) I had organ lessons at noon, work at 3:00-5:00, (I clean an old couple's house) and then tonight I have to babysit for a friend overnight! Add to that schoolwork. So, although this may be typical of your life or atypical, that was our week thus far.
Dad might start putting in our new french doors tomorrow, separating the front hallway from the living room! Not much else going on though, so, see yas till next post! Rachee
Here are some pictures from Toby's (our dog) slight injury on Oct. 30th: (he's a-okay now)

1st ever e-mail, I mean blog!
Well, this is it! I've finally upgraded from e-mailing to blogging! I'm just new at this, so bear with me. So what I'd like to do is periodically update on current events, and also share Bible verses and quotes that have been especially inspirational to me and hopefully to you.
